The Leupold SX-5 Santiam HD 27-55x80 Angled Spotting Scope is designed to be a more portable large scope. The shorter zoom range allows the scope to be more compact and eliminates distortions often seen at the extreme ends of a scope's magnification. SX-5 spotters have an incredibly quick collar focus mechanism that requires only 270° of rotation to go between close focus and infinity. The light path incorporates Leupold's Professional-Grade Optical System, which reduces glare in harsh, direct light. Exterior lens surfaces are covered with DiamondCoat 2, an ion-assist lens coating, for higher light transmission and the greatest level of abrasion resistance they've ever offered, and improves light transmission and contrast. The SX-5 Santiam scopes have an Arca-Swiss compatible mounting foot, rubber armoring, a removable twist-up eyecup, and come with a neoprene stay-on case.
