Papier d'Armenie has been quietly perfuming French homes since 1885, when pharmacist Auguste Ponsot brought the recipe back from a trip to Armenia. Known in Italy as carta d'Armenia and in Spain as papel de Armenia, each notebook is paper soaked in benzoin resin, the same warm woody material burned in churches and palaces for centuries. The 3-Pack lets you discover all three scents in the collection. Tradition carries the original benzoin and vanilla note. Armenia, created in 2006 with perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, leans warmer with amber and tonka. Rose, added in 2009, brings a soft gourmand floral. To use, tear off one strip along the perforation, fold it accordion-style, set it on the edge of a saucer or ashtray, light one end, and blow out the flame so it smolders. One strip clears the air in a kitchen, bathroom, or living room within minutes. Burn 3 to 4 times a week and ventilate after use. Keep out of reach of children and never leave a strip burning unattended.
